We've been running the concrete business here in Gurgaon for a while now. If you're looking for us, we are over at Rajiv Nagar, specifically Gali No. 8. It's the spot where Mahender Saini is, at 1826/3. The yard gets pretty busy with the trucks coming in and out, especially in the mornings when the sun is just coming up over the Haryana flats. Managing concrete is mostly about timing and making sure the mix is right before it leaves the gate. We spend a lot of our days just coordinating between the site and the office. It isn't a fancy setup. It's just a regular office where we keep the paperwork in order and talk to the drivers. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into everything, but that is just how it is working in this line of work. We know the neighbors around Gali No. 8 well. Most people around here are just trying to get their projects finished without too much of a headache. Dealing with building materials means you see a lot of different people, from small contractors to guys just fixing up a wall. It’s hard work, but we keep at it day after day. The phone rings a lot, and there is usually a list of deliveries taped to the wall. We just focus on getting the loads out to where they need to go in the city. It’s what we do.
