Modern Prefab Systems Pvt. Ltd. is run out of House No. 203 in Sector-17A, Sukhrali. It’s a residential area, so it doesn’t really feel like a cold corporate building. We like it that way because it's quieter and we can actually hear ourselves think. Working on prefab systems involves a lot of detail, and being in a house helps us stay focused. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to say hello or ask what we are building. We explain that we handle the parts and pieces for modular structures. It’s not a big team here, just a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. The office is basically a converted living room with some desks and a lot of filing cabinets. We have our tea breaks on the balcony when the weather is decent. Gurgaon can be a bit overwhelming with all the new construction, but Sector-17A has its own pace. We try to keep things simple and avoid the rush as much as possible. Most of our day is spent talking to suppliers or checking on delivery schedules for our projects. That’s how we’ve always operated and it works for us. Even when the power goes out or the internet is slow, we find ways to stay productive.
