Our place is located in the Somaiyanur area of Coimbatore, right there on Thiruvalluvar Nagar. It is a busy part of town with a lot of small industries and workshops around us. We have been operating Micromatic Machine Tools from this specific spot for quite some time now. The building at 2/506-1 isn’t anything too special to look at, just a functional space where we handle machine tools and related work. Every morning starts with opening up the shutters and checking what needs to be done for the day. We deal with various types of machinery and parts that people in the manufacturing sector need. The staff here mostly consists of local folks who have been working with machines their whole lives. It is often quite noisy because of the nearby traffic and the work happening inside the shop, but we are used to it by now. We don’t spend much time on fancy decorations or big signs. Most people find us because they know the address or someone told them where we are. We keep our records in thick ledgers and on an old computer that sometimes runs a bit slow. There is a small tea stall nearby where we usually go for a break in the afternoon. It is just a regular day-to-day operation where we try to get the orders sorted and help out anyone who walks through the door with a technical problem. It's a bit dusty, but we keep the machines oiled.
