Medanta The Medicity

Working at Medanta The Medicity in Sector 38 near Rajeev Chowk is a daily whirlwind. This place is huge, almost like a city on its own with all the different buildings and wings. I spend a lot of my shift just walking from one side to the other. Even though it is a very big operation, those of us who work here try to keep things as grounded as possible. The elevators are almost always full, so if you are in a hurry, you are better off taking the stairs. We see thousands of people every day coming from all different places. It is not like a small neighborhood clinic where you know everyone, but we do get to know the patients who have to stay for a while. The cafeteria food is actually decent, which helps when you are working a long shift. Sometimes the signs on the walls can be a bit hard to follow, and I end up spending half my time giving people directions to the pharmacy or the lab. We do not have any polished corporate speeches to give. We just answer the phones, update the files, and try to keep things organized. It is a very busy environment and it can get a bit overwhelming sometimes, but we just take it one task at a time. It is a lot of moving parts and it is far from perfect, but we all show up and do our jobs every day.
