Maxim Smt Technologies is situated out in IMT Manesar, at Plot No 145 in Sector 7. This whole area is nothing but factories and warehouses as far as you can see. It is a long commute for those of us coming from Delhi or Gurgaon, but once you’re here, the focus is entirely on the machines. The SMT equipment we work with takes up most of the floor space. It’s a clean environment because the technology requires it, but the rest of the building is just a standard industrial setup. We have a small area for the staff to sit and have their lunch, and a couple of cabins for the paperwork. The sun really bakes the industrial estate in the summer, making the walk from the gate to the front door feel like a marathon. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy lobby. People who come here are usually here for technical reasons, so we don't bother with the bells and whistles. The work involves a lot of precision, and most of the day is spent looking at boards and keeping the machines running smoothly. We keep the inventory organized in the back, and there is always a truck being loaded or unloaded at the bay. It’s a practical, no-nonsense manufacturing site where we put in the hours and then head home in the evening.
