Maruti Suzuki India Limited

We are over at the Maruti Suzuki India Limited site on the Palam Gurgaon Road. Specifically, we are in the Service-1 section of the R&D Building. It is a massive place. You can't miss it if you are driving towards Gurgaon. There are cars everywhere. We spend our days looking at engines and parts. It is a lot of technical work but someone has to do it. The R&D building is where all the new ideas get tested. It’s a bit of a maze inside. We have our own little corner where we keep our tools and papers. The road outside is always packed with traffic. You can hear the noise of the city even inside the gates. Haryana is where most of the car stuff happens in India, and we are right in the heart of it. We wear our uniforms and stay busy from morning till night. It’s a lot of walking because the facility is so big. We eat in the canteen with everyone else. The food is okay, mostly dal and roti. We don't really think about being a big company. We just think about the car in front of us. Some of us have been working here for twenty years. We’ve seen the city change a lot around this building. It’s just a steady job for us and we do our best.
