Manpower Marketing Services Ltd. is based at 46 Rajeev Nagar in Gurgaon. It’s a straightforward office in a busy part of the city. We’ve been here for quite some time now, and the building has become very familiar to us. We handle a lot of people coming in and out, looking for work or asking about marketing services. The desks are usually covered in resumes and various forms that need signing. It’s not a high-tech sleek office. We have standard chairs, some filing cabinets that squeak when you open them, and a big water cooler in the corner. Haryana weather can be tough, so the fan is almost always on. We don't really do the whole "corporate image" thing. We’re just here to do a job. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s quiet for hours. We know the shopkeepers nearby and often see them when we step out for a break. It’s a very local feel. We spend our time matching people with roles or planning out small marketing campaigns. It takes a lot of patience. Sometimes the printer runs out of ink right when we need it, or we lose a pen. It’s just a normal workplace with normal people. We try to keep it simple and just focus on the tasks we have for that day without making a big fuss about it. We’ve been at it for years.
