We’ve been at the MGF Mega City Mall for quite some time now. Most mornings start with the same routine, opening up the shutters and making sure all the glass cases are wiped down properly. It’s a decent spot on MG Road, though the mall gets pretty crowded on the weekends when people are out shopping for gifts. We handle a lot of different jewelry items here. Sometimes people come in just to look, and other times they have something specific in mind for a wedding or a birthday. It’s just me and a couple of others working here most days. We keep things simple. There’s a lot of paperwork that goes into running a place like this, especially with the gems and gold. Sometimes the lights in the mall flicker a bit, but we just get on with it. We don't really do big advertisements or anything fancy like that. Most of the people who come in are regulars or folks who happened to be walking by after seeing a movie. It’s a lot of sitting and waiting sometimes, then it gets busy all at once. We try to keep things organized but the back room is always a bit of a mess with boxes and stuff from shipments. That’s just how it is. We’ve seen other shops come and go in this mall, but we’re still here at unit 23, just doing our thing every day.
