Leighton

We are located at Officer Line in Gopeshwar, which is in the Chamoli district of Uttaranchal. Being up here in the hills is a lot different than working in a big city. The air is thinner and it gets quite cold in the winter months. Leighton has this spot in the Officer Line area, which is a bit more organized than other parts of town. It’s a quiet place, surrounded by trees and mountains. Our office is a simple building, nothing fancy at all. We spend a lot of our time dealing with local things and making sure everything is running okay. Because we are in Chamoli, sometimes things take a bit longer to get done, like mail or supplies arriving. We don’t mind though. It’s a slower pace of life here. Inside, the office is cozy. We have heaters for the cold days and a small kitchen where we make tea. People from the area know where we are, and we often have people dropping by for a chat. We don’t have corporate posters or big marketing slogans. Leighton in Gopeshwar is just a small group of people working in a beautiful, remote part of the country. We focus on our daily tasks and try to stay warm. It’s a practical, honest way to work. We are just part of the local landscape here in the mountains of Uttaranchal.
