Our office is situated on the first floor in Sultanpur Colony. It’s right across from the Mother Dairy on M.G. Road in New Delhi. If you’ve ever been on that road, you know how busy it gets with all the cars and people passing by. We have a pretty basic setup here. There aren't any fancy lobby areas or polished reception desks. It’s just a regular space where the team at Leighton India sits and works. Most of the day is spent handling phone calls and sorting through the paperwork we have on our desks. The noise from the main road is always there in the background, but we don't really notice it anymore. We keep things simple and avoid all that corporate talk that people use in the bigger business districts. It’s a very practical way to work. The stairs up to our floor are a bit narrow, so we have to be careful when moving equipment in or out. There is always a lot of tea being made, which helps keep us going during the long afternoons. We’ve been in Sultanpur for a while now, and the neighbors are all familiar faces. It is just a normal office for normal people doing their jobs. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. Just a room on the first floor where we get the work finished.
