We’re up on the 12th floor of Tower A in Signature Towers. It’s a big building in City 1 South, and the elevator ride takes a minute or two when everyone is coming in at nine. Being that high up, you get a pretty decent view of the surroundings, but we’re usually too busy with the lights to look out the window much. Since we deal with LEDs and lighting stuff, the office is always bright, which I guess is a lot better than working in a dark basement. We have a lot of desks and a lot of paperwork to go through every single day. It’s a different kind of busy than a factory floor, more about phones ringing and emails going back and forth between different departments. We’ve been in this spot for a bit, and we’ve gotten used to the building's quirks, like how the elevators sometimes have a mind of their own during the lunch rush. Sometimes the air conditioning is a bit too cold for comfort, so most of us keep sweaters at our desks even in the middle of summer. It’s a professional place, sure, but we’re just regular people trying to keep things moving. We eat our lunch in the small break area and talk about the weekend or our families like anyone else. There’s always a meeting or some new plan being discussed, and we just try to keep up with the fast pace of the city below us. It's steady work in a tall building.
