Laing O'Rourke Group

We are set up as Laing O'Rourke Group over in Orissa. Our local base is in Sippi Chhak, which is in the Jagatsinghpur district. If you are looking for us, we are located at Gouranga Ch Parida’s place. It’s a bit different from a city office, but it works for us out here. We deal with whatever construction projects are happening in the region from this spot. It’s a simple setup, mostly just a place to keep our tools, records, and a desk for the paperwork. The pace here is a bit different than in Delhi, but the work is just as hard. We spend a lot of time out in the field and then come back here to catch up on the administrative side of things. It’s a local operation, and we know most of the people around Sippi Chhak. We don't have any big brochures or fancy websites. We just do the work that needs doing. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, but we just wait it out and get back to it. It’s a humble place to work from, but it keeps us close to the sites we are managing. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks and making sure things are moving forward. We've been here for a while and plan to stay as long as there is building to be done in Jagatsinghpur.
