If you look for us on New Railway Road, we are quite close to the Moji Wala Kaun landmark. People know that area well, so it’s easy to find us. We sell things like fans, mixers, and other small appliances that folks need for their kitchens and homes. Most of our day is spent either showing someone how a heater works or trying to fix a cord that got chewed up by a pet. It’s a bit of a mix between a shop and a repair place. The front is full of boxes and the back is where we keep the tools and spare parts. It’s often quite loud because of the traffic on the main road and the sound of testing different motors. We don't have a fancy showroom with carpets or bright lights. It’s just a tiled floor and some wooden shelves we put up ourselves. We’ve been here a good while and have seen the road change quite a bit over the years. Sometimes people just stop by to ask for directions because of the well nearby. We try to help out when we can. Dealing with electricity and appliances means you have to be careful, so we take our time with the repairs. It’s not a fast-paced corporate office. It’s just a place where you can get your stove looked at or buy a new ceiling fan without much trouble. We keep a cooler in the corner for anyone who needs a drink of water on a hot day.
