You can find us at No. 994/1 on Shivaji Street in Karol Bagh. It is a very busy part of town with a lot of shops and people everywhere. We deal with fabrics, so our space is usually filled with rolls of cloth and different materials. It is not a very large shop, but we make use of every inch of space we have. The street outside is always noisy with rickshaws and vendors shouting. Inside, it is a bit more quiet, though we are usually busy cutting fabric or talking to customers who drop by. We have been in Karol Bagh for a long time and we know most of the other shopkeepers on the street. It is a community of its own. We do not have any high-tech equipment, just some good tables for measuring and a lot of shelves stacked to the ceiling. Sometimes the dust from the fabric gets everywhere, but that is just part of the job. We keep a ledger for our accounts and try to stay organized, even when things get hectic during the festival seasons. People come to us when they need something specific for their clothes. We do not do any big advertising or anything like that. Most of our work comes from people who just happen to walk past or who have been coming to us for many years. It is a straightforward business and we just enjoy working with the materials every day and seeing what people make with them.
