We’re based on the second floor of a building in Gurgaon, at I-58 to be exact. It’s one of those typical office setups where the elevator is sometimes a bit slow, so most of us just end up taking the stairs. Haryana summers are no joke, so we spend a lot of time making sure the cooling is actually working. The office isn't huge, just enough room for the desks and the files we’ve piled up over the months. Being in Gurgaon means there’s always construction noise somewhere nearby or the sound of cars stuck in the evening rush. We mostly just keep our heads down and get through the paperwork and calls. It’s a pretty straightforward atmosphere. We have a small corner for making tea, which is where most of the actual talking happens during the day. Sometimes the internet goes out and we all just kind of sit there looking at each other until it comes back. It’s not fancy, and we don't have any of those modern office perks you hear about. It’s just a place to work. We know the security guard downstairs pretty well since we’re usually the last ones to leave. Every Friday we try to clear off the desks so Monday doesn't feel so heavy. It’s just us doing what we need to do to keep things running. The printer jams once a day but we’ve learned how to fix it.
