Indo German Brake Pvt Ltd is located at Khasra No. 323/Micentral Hop Town in the Selaqui Industrial Area. Being up here is a bit different than the crowded city factories. We have the hills around us, though mostly we are looking at the inside of our workshop. It’s a decent sized space where we handle the brake components. The name sounds a bit formal, but we are just a bunch of guys who know our way around a lathe and a press. Most of the staff comes from the nearby villages or lives in the housing around Selaqui. We don't have a big reception area with leather chairs. Usually, you’ll find us in our overalls near the loading dock. The air is a bit better here than in Delhi, but the work is still heavy. We spend our days checking parts and making sure the dimensions are right. It’s steady work. Sometimes the supply trucks get delayed on the winding roads, but we manage. We aren't interested in making big speeches about what we do. We just make the parts and send them out. If you walk into the shed, you'll hear the sound of metal hitting metal and the smell of cooling oil. That’s been our life for a long time now. We take our lunch breaks together under the shade when it’s hot. It’s just a normal factory life for us. We keep things simple and try to stay productive.
