IAAD ( Its All About Design)

Our place is at S-27/9C in DLF Phase 3. IAAD stands for Its All About Design, which is a bit of a mouthful, so we just go by the letters mostly. We’ve been in this part of Gurgaon for a while now. It’s a fast-paced area, but inside our office, we try to slow things down a bit to focus on the details. We aren't one of those big firms that treats every house the same. We’re just a small group of designers who actually care if a chair is comfortable or if a lamp gives off the right light. A lot of our time is spent driving around to different sites or meeting with craftsmen who know more about wood than we do. DLF Phase 3 has a lot of energy, and we try to bring some of that into our work. We don't have a script for when people call us. We just listen to what they want and tell them what we can actually do. Sometimes we have to tell people their idea won't work because of the plumbing or the walls, and that’s just part of being honest. We like the hands-on part of the job the most. Seeing a drawing actually turn into a real wall or a kitchen island is the best part of the week. We’re just over here at 9C, keeping busy and trying to make designs that make sense for real life. It’s mostly just hard work.
