We are located at House No 981 in the 7Extn area of Gurgaon. This isn't one of those massive office parks you see in the city; it is a more local spot where we can actually see what is happening on the street. Working for Honeywell International I.Pvt Ltd from here means we deal with a lot of technical stuff and parts every day. The office is usually filled with the sound of computers running and people discussing various projects. We have some heavy metal shelves where we keep equipment, and there is always a bit of dust because of the construction going on nearby. The rooms are a bit small, so we have to stay organized or things get messy fast. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee and tea, which is where most of the actual talking happens. The neighborhood around 7Extn is quite lively with small vendors and people going to work. Sometimes we have trouble with the internet connection, but we just call the guy and get it fixed. It is a very hands-on environment. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because we are too busy looking at blueprints and technical data. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know how the lights have a specific flick when you turn them on. It is a comfortable place to work and we just focus on the tasks at hand without any fuss.
