We are located out in the village of Rajpura Bhain, which is part of the Gulkni area in the Jind district of Haryana. It’s a bit of a drive from the main town, but we’re here for the local farmers and villagers who don’t want to travel all the way into the city for every little thing. The office is small and keeps things very basic. We don’t have any of those fancy glass walls or high-tech gadgets you see in Mumbai. It’s just a solid room with some desks, chairs, and our ledger books. Some days it’s quite dusty outside, especially when the wind picks up across the fields. We spend our time helping folks with their savings, loans, and whatever else they need to keep their farms and homes running. It’s a different kind of banking out here. We talk about the weather and the crops as much as we talk about interest rates. The pace is a little slower, which suits us just fine. We know everyone in Rajpura Bhain, so it feels more like helping neighbors than running a business. We open early to catch people before they head out to the fields and stay until the work is finished. It’s a simple life, focused on the community we live in.
