We are over in Sector 9 of Gurgaon, specifically at House No. 486 in the Urban Estate. It’s a residential-feeling area but we use it for Hb Estate Developers Ltd. Gurgaon has changed so much over the years with all the new buildings going up, but we’ve stayed right here. Our office isn't in one of those huge glass towers you see near the highway. It’s just a regular house that we’ve turned into a workspace. We spend our time looking at maps, talking to contractors, and trying to figure out where the next project might be. Real estate is a tricky business and there are a lot of ups and downs. Some days we feel like we are winning, and other days we are just trying to fix a mistake in a permit or a drawing. We don't have a marketing team writing stuff for us. We just tell it like it is. It’s hard work, involves a lot of driving around to different sites, and the phone never really stops ringing. We’ve seen the city grow from almost nothing to what it is today. Our desks are covered in blueprints and half-empty cups of tea. We just keep plugging away, trying to build things that won't fall apart and making sure the paperwork is in order for every single deal. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we do and we’ve been at it for a long time.
