Our office is down in the basement of the CMS Complex in Sector 5, Gurgaon. It’s right near the Sector 5 chowk and Ashok Vihar. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler in the summer months which is nice when the Gurgaon heat gets really bad. The complex itself is quite busy and there are always cars and bikes parked all over the place near Palam Vihar Road. To get to us you have to walk down the stairs into the basement area. Shop number 1 is where we are. It’s a compact space with some desks, a few cupboards for documents, and our computers. The ceiling is a bit low but you get used to it after a while. We have some fluorescent lights to keep the place bright since there aren't any windows down here. It feels like a quiet little cave away from the noise of the traffic at the chowk. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background just to have some sound. We aren't big on decorations so the walls are mostly bare except for some charts and a clock. It’s a practical setup for us. We spend our hours here working through our lists and talking to people who come in. When the day is over we climb back up to the street level and see the sunset over the busy intersection.
