Out here in Gopalpura, life revolves around the land and the stones. G.M is basically what we call the operation under Raghuveer Singh Rathore Baapji Stone Crusher Co. We are situated in the Sujangarh tehsil, way out in the Churu district of Rajasthan. If you come visit us, you better be ready for some dust because that is just part of the job when you are crushing stone all day. The sun gets really intense in this part of the country, so we start our work early in the morning before it gets too unbearable. We have the big machines running most of the time, and the sound becomes like background music after you’ve been here long enough. Our team is mostly local guys from the nearby villages who know how to handle the heavy stuff. We don't spend much time in fancy offices. Most of our day is spent outdoors or in the small shed where we keep the logs. We handle the stone loads, check the crushers, and make sure the trucks are loaded properly for their trips across the state. It is hard work, and your clothes will definitely get dirty by noon. We don't have much use for big words or corporate talk. We just focus on the rocks and the machines. Sometimes we sit under the shade of a tree during the break to have some cold water. It's a simple life, but it keeps us busy.
