Gateway Rail Freight Limited is situated out near Vill- Hayatpur, close to Garhi Harsaru in the Gurgaon district. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but this is where the action happens. We are right by the tracks, which makes sense since we deal with rail freight. Our daily routine involves a lot of noise from the trains and the heavy equipment moving around the yard. It’s dusty and loud most of the time. The office itself is pretty basic. We’ve got some old desks and plenty of paper files. We spend a lot of time talking to drivers and workers out on the platforms. Haryana gets really hot in the summer, so we usually have a fan going full blast while we check the manifests. We manage containers and making sure they get loaded onto the right trains. It’s not a glamorous job. You end up with dirt on your shoes by the end of the shift. We’ve been part of the landscape here in Garhi Harsaru for a while. Local people know us as the place where the big containers go. We aren't doing anything fancy, just keeping the logistics moving. Sometimes the schedules get messed up because of weather or track issues, and we have to scramble to fix things. It’s just how it goes in this industry. We don't have a big marketing department. We just have people who know how to handle cargo and get it where it needs to go.
