We have been here at 1142/21 in Gurgaon for a while now. It's a busy spot and people come in and out all day. We mostly deal with making clothes from scratch. There are sewing machines running most of the time we are open. It gets a bit loud sometimes, but that is just how it is in this line of work. Sometimes the thread runs out or a needle breaks, so we just fix it and keep going. My cousin helps out with the cutting and the measurements. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It's just a workspace where we get things done. Most of the people who come here live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor. We spend a lot of time looking at different fabrics. Some are soft and some are heavy. It depends on what someone needs for their project. Gurgaon has changed a lot since we started, but this little corner stays pretty much the same. We have stacks of patterns lying around on the old wooden tables. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, so we just take a break and sit outside for some air. It’s not a big corporate operation. It is just a few of us trying to make things that look decent and last for a while. We handle the measuring, the cutting, and the sewing right here in the back room. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. We keep a kettle in the corner for tea because the days can get long. We don't really do much advertising. People just find us. If the door is open, we are usually working. It’s a simple setup.
