Everest Business

Out here in Dhoradaha village, life is mostly about the land and the seasons. Our business is based right here, near the post office in this small corner of Karimpur. It’s a rural area, so you won’t find any glass buildings or paved parking lots around our office. We work out of a simple building that fits in with the rest of the village. Most of our days are spent talking to the local people and handling whatever business comes our way through the mail or the occasional visitor. The trip out here from the main district hub takes a while, especially if the bus is running late. We have a small desk and a few chairs where people can sit and talk. It’s not the kind of place where you wear a suit. We are more likely to be found in casual clothes, dealing with the paperwork while a cow wanders past the window. The connection to the internet can be a bit spotty sometimes, which makes things interesting. We just take things as they come, whether it's a busy day with lots of visitors or a quiet one where we just catch up on the ledgers. Being in the village means everyone knows your name and what you’re doing. It’s a different way of working than in the city, much more personal and a lot less hurried.
