Manesar is always buzzing with activity, and Sector-7 is no different. We are situated at Plot No. 375, right in the middle of all the other big factories. The morning commute is usually a mess of trucks and worker buses, so by the time we get through the gates, we’re ready for a hot cup of tea. Our space is divided into a few sections for different types of assembly work. We have the machines running most of the day, so there’s a constant hum in the background that you eventually stop hearing. It’s a lot of sitting and focused work, looking through magnifying glasses at tiny solder joints for hours. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone in suits running around telling us what to do. It’s just us in our work shirts, trying to keep up with the daily schedule. Sometimes a machine breaks down, and we have to spend half the day fixing it ourselves because the technician is stuck across town. We keep a stash of spare parts in the back room, which is honestly a bit of a mess. Boxes are stacked up to the ceiling in some spots. We eat lunch in a small room off to the side, and then it’s back to the benches for the afternoon. The floor is concrete and hard on the feet, but we’ve got some mats down in the areas where we stand the most. It’s just how things go here at the IMT.
