Our office is on the ground floor of house number 352 in Q Block over in Sector 40. It's a standard spot in Gurgaon, so the traffic outside can be a bit much during the morning rush. Escorts Construction Ltd has been operating out of this space for a while now. It feels more like a home than a corporate office because of the residential layout. We have desks set up in what used to be living areas. You can hear the neighbors occasionally. It's a practical setup for us. We deal with construction projects, so there are always blueprints rolled up in the corners and mud on someone’s boots. The street outside is usually lined with cars. We try to keep things orderly inside, but with all the site visits and planning, it’s a lot of coming and going. The air conditioner works most of the time, which is a relief in the summer. We drink a lot of coffee to keep going through the long afternoons. It isn't a flashy place with a big lobby. Just a door on the ground floor where we get the work done. Most of the guys are out at the sites during the day. Only a few of us stay back to handle the phone calls and the scheduling. It’s just how the construction business goes around here. We know the local shops and the tea guy on the corner pretty well. We have stayed in this neighborhood because it is convenient.
