East West Medical Centre

Living and working in Sector 14 means you see a lot of familiar faces every day. East West Medical Centre is right here in the middle of it all. It’s a pretty standard building, nothing too flashy, but it’s where we spend most of our waking hours. The hallway always has that faint smell of disinfectant which I guess is normal for a medical place. We have a lot of older patients who have been coming to us for years, and they often stay to chat after their appointments. It makes the day go by a bit slower in a good way. The desks are a bit cluttered with pens and forms that need filling out. Sometimes the air conditioning makes a weird rattling noise, but we’ve gotten used to it. In the winter, it gets quite cold in the mornings before the sun hits the windows. We aren't trying to be some big corporate hospital. We’re just a local center where people come when they aren't feeling well. Our staff is a small group and we usually eat lunch together in the back room. You get to know the neighbors, like the shopkeepers nearby. It feels like a small community inside this part of Sector 14. We just keep the doors open and do what we can for the people who walk in. It’s a simple setup but it works for us. We're just regular people trying to help out our neighbors when they need it.
