East West Automation Tech private limited is located at 45, Independent Sheds in Electronics City, Sec-18. The term independent sheds really describes the place well because it feels separate from the big glass towers you see in other parts of the city. Our shed is a sturdy building that has been through many rainy seasons, and you can hear the rain drumming on the roof whenever there is a storm. The floor is mostly open space where equipment and tables are set up for whatever needs to be done that day. It gets pretty hot during the peak of the afternoon, so we keep the big doors open to catch any breeze that might be passing through Sec-18. There is a lot of heavy lifting and moving things around on pallets, so everyone stays pretty active. You will usually find a couple of people huddled over a table looking at a drawing or a piece of gear. The noise from the neighboring sheds is just part of the background, like a constant hum of activity that never really stops until late evening. We don't have a fancy lunchroom, so we mostly just pull up a chair wherever there is space. It is a practical kind of place where the focus is on the physical work right in front of us. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know each other’s habits and where the tools are kept.
