You can find DziNexus Studio Architects & Interior Designers on the first floor, right above the Yamaha showroom, at 6-7. It’s pretty easy to find if you’re looking for the motorbikes downstairs. We do both the outside of buildings and the inside parts too. It’s a lot of work juggling both of those things, but it keeps the days interesting. Sometimes we’re picking out tiles and other times we’re worried about structural beams. The office can get pretty loud with everyone talking at once. We aren’t the type to wear suits and ties around here. Most of us are in jeans just trying to get the day’s tasks done without too much trouble. Being on the first floor gives us a bit of a view of the street, which is nice when we need a break from the computer screens. Interior design is more than just picking colors; it’s a lot of measuring and remeasuring. We make mistakes sometimes, like anyone else does, but we always try to fix them before things go too far. It’s a busy life here above the showroom. We’ve got a lot of samples lying around—bits of wood, stone, and fabric. It’s a bit of a maze in here some days. We just try to make spaces that people can actually live or work in without any fuss. It’s good to be busy and we like the energy of this part of town.
