If you find yourself over at Plot No. 90/ A in Udyog Vihar Phase-4, you’ll find our building. Drishti Apparels has been operating from this corner for a while. Udyog Vihar is always crowded, and parking can be a real headache, but we like being in the middle of all that action. Inside our doors, it’s mostly just rows of sewing machines and stacks of fabric waiting to be cut. We make all sorts of clothes. It isn't a quiet place. There is always the hum of motors and people talking over the noise of the needles. We don't have any big speeches to give. We just come in every morning, check the schedules, and start cutting patterns. Sometimes the fabric isn't exactly the right shade of blue we expected, or a machine breaks down right when we are in a hurry. We just fix it and keep going. Most of the staff live nearby, so there’s a lot of local gossip during the tea breaks. We drink a lot of tea here to keep the energy up. It’s a basic operation. We don’t spend money on fancy brochures or big signs outside. We’d rather just focus on making sure the seams are straight and the buttons stay on. It's just a regular workplace where people work hard to get things done on time. We do our work and go home.
