Dlf- Laingo'Rourke(P) Ltd. is situated at House Number 866/5 in Gali No-5B, Patel Nagar, Gurgaon. This part of Gurgaon is not at all like the fancy high-rise areas with the malls and glass towers. It is an older neighborhood with narrow lanes and houses built very close together. Finding Gali No-5B can be a bit of a challenge if you are not from around here, as the lanes all look quite similar. Our office is on one of the floors of this house. It is a bit of a squeeze once you get all the desks, the big printer, and the filing cabinets in there. The lighting is okay, but we often keep the overhead lights on even during the day. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood all the time, like scooters zooming past or people calling out to each other. We have a small area where we keep the water dispenser and a box of tea. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and there are some cracks near the window frames that we have just ignored for now. It is a very basic setup, but it is where we do all our coordinating and scheduling. We do not have a receptionist, so if the bell rings, one of us just gets up to see who it is. It is an informal and practical way to run things in a busy part of town.
