Canal Colony is a decent, quiet place to be based out of here in Sonepat. Our spot is at House Number 8 in the Bandepur area. It is more of a residential house that we turned into an office, which makes it feel a lot less stiff than a regular business building. We have a small yard in the front where a few of our bikes are usually parked under the tree. The winter mornings in Sonepat get incredibly foggy, so we sometimes start the day a bit later than usual. Inside, it is just the typical stuff like desks, a couple of computers, and plenty of paper piles. We do not have a reception desk or a big neon sign out front. People usually just knock on the gate or give us a call when they are outside. It is quiet enough here to actually get things done without the constant noise of the main highway. The canal is quite close by, so you can sometimes feel a nice breeze in the evenings. We have a small stove in the back room to make ginger tea during the cold months. It is a simple operation with only a handful of people working together. We have lived and worked in Sonepat for a long time and the neighbors in the colony know us well. We do not go for anything fancy or expensive. If the chairs work and the roof does not leak, we are happy.
