Design Inc

Design Inc is based in Sushant Lok Phase I, right at C 101. It’s a house that we turned into an office, so it feels a bit more like a home than a sterile business space. We’ve been here for a few years. It’s mostly just a small group of us who enjoy the creative side of building and decorating. There’s a kitchen where we make way too much tea, and the main room is full of desks and computers. We don’t have any fancy brochures or a sales team. Usually, when someone wants to work with us, they just come over and we sit around a table and talk about what they need. We do a lot of residential work, which means we spend a lot of time thinking about where people are going to put their shoes or how much light a bedroom gets in the morning. Sometimes we disagree on a design choice, and we have to spend an afternoon arguing about it until we find something that works. It’s a very hands-on process. We visit a lot of sites to make sure the builders are actually following the plans we gave them. It can be frustrating when things go wrong, but we just try to fix it and move on. It’s a nice way to earn a living, even if it gets stressful sometimes. We aren't doing anything world-changing, just trying to make sure people like where they live.
