Design Hut

Design Hut is located over in Sector 40, specifically at spots 2 and 3. It's a pretty basic setup we have here. We do a lot of our thinking and drawing in this space. It’s not very big, but it fits our desks and all the samples we keep for various projects. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it stays fairly quiet during the day which helps us focus. We have piles of catalogs and swatches of materials everywhere. Sometimes it's hard to find a clear spot on the table to lay out a large drawing. We spend most of our time on the computers or talking to contractors on the phone. It's a lot of back and forth between us and the people building the projects. We aren't the type of place with fancy lobby furniture or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just answers it. We've got a small kettle for making coffee and we usually eat lunch at our desks while working. It’s a practical way to run things. We’ve been in Sector 40 for some time now and we know the local shops pretty well. The work keeps us busy from morning till evening. Every project has its own set of little problems to figure out, and that's just what we do here every day. It's a simple life but it keeps us on our toes and we like the variety of the work we get to see.
