You can find us at Godown No. 71 in Krishna Nagar, Sector 56A. We are pretty close to the bus stand, which makes it easy for students to get to us. Converting a godown into a music academy was a big task, but it works for us. It gives us enough room for the instruments and the noise. Music is what we do here every day. It’s not always pretty when someone is just starting to learn, but that’s the point of an academy. There are different corners for different instruments. Sometimes you’ll hear a guitar from one side and maybe some singing or drums from another. It gets a bit loud, but the neighbors don't seem to mind too much. We aren't trying to be some high-end conservatory. We are just a local spot where people can come and learn to play something. We have a few instructors who know their stuff and are patient with the beginners. The space is a bit industrial, but we’ve tried to make it comfortable enough for a lesson. We don't have a fancy waiting room or anything. Most parents just hang out near the entrance or run errands at the bus stand while the kids are in class. It’s a down-to-earth place. We just want to help people make some music. It doesn't have to be perfect; it just has to be theirs. We enjoy the energy that people bring into the godown every single afternoon when classes start.
