Shyam Book Seller

You can find Shyam Book Seller at Shop No. 40 in Krishna Market, Chakkarpur. It is a pretty standard market shop, nothing too fancy about it. We have stacks of books everywhere, and sometimes it’s hard to find a place to even sit down. We spend most of our days surrounded by paper and the smell of new ink. Krishna Market is usually buzzing with people, so there is always some noise coming in from the street. We’ve been here in Chakkarpur for a while now, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years. Our shop is where we keep all the different titles and school supplies people need. It’s not always perfectly organized, and sometimes a pile might get a bit too high, but we generally know where everything is. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just open the shop in the morning and wait for people to come in. Some people spend a lot of time looking through the shelves, while others know exactly what they want and are in and out in a minute. We handle the register, answer questions, and try to keep the dust off the covers. It’s a simple job, really. We like being part of the local market scene. It’s busy and a bit messy sometimes, but that’s just how it goes when you’re running a small bookshop in a place like this. We just keep piling the books up and helping the neighbors.
