Our place is at 512 in Sector 37, over in Pacecity Part II. It’s an industrial area, so there is always the sound of machinery or trucks nearby. We do processing work here. The floor is concrete and can get pretty cold in the winter months. We wear heavy boots and spend a lot of time on our feet. There’s a lot of metal and raw materials stacked up in the corners. We don’t have much of an office, just a small corner with a desk and a computer that’s a bit slow to start up. The lighting is bright so we can see what we are doing with the materials. We’ve been operating in Pacecity for a few years. It’s a practical location for getting trucks in and out. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing it. It’s messy work, but it’s what we do. We don’t really have visitors, mostly just delivery drivers. We keep a stash of biscuits in the drawer for when we get hungry. The air is a bit heavy with the smell of oil and metal. We just get on with the orders as they come in. It’s a straightforward industrial setup. We leave the main shutters open for fresh air even when it is noisy outside, just to keep the breeze going.
