Asmara Apparels India Pvt. Ltd. is situated at Ma-10 Moulsari Avenue in D.L.F. Phase 3. Even though the address might sound a bit fancy because it’s in the DLF area, our daily reality is just a lot of hard work in the apparel business. We have a proper office setup here, but it’s almost always filled with samples and racks of clothing being reviewed. It gets quite hectic when the new seasons are coming up and we have to finalize designs with the factories. We aren't a retail shop, so you won't find a display window or anything like that. It’s mostly just us sitting at computers or standing around large tables looking at garment constructions and checking measurements. There are always people coming and going, from delivery guys to technicians. The air conditioning struggles sometimes when the afternoon sun hits the windows directly. We drink a lot of coffee and try to stay on top of the endless emails that come in from early morning. It’s a professional environment but it still feels like a workspace where real things are being handled every day. We have piles of folders and fabric books everywhere you look. Sometimes the deadlines are very close and we end up staying late, ordering some food to the office just to get through the work. It’s just how the clothing industry works. We aren't trying to sound like a giant conglomerate; we’re just a team of people trying to get clothes made.
