Our place is in Sector-18 of Gurgaon, specifically at D-56 in the Ansal Palam Udyog area. It’s a big industrial patch, so there are trucks moving around constantly. We are at Plot No. 3. The office is basically just a hub for our transport operations. There is a lot of dust from the road and the nearby construction. Most of the day is spent looking at schedules and talking to drivers on their mobile phones. It is a functional space with metal desks and some old chairs. We have a lot of ledgers because keeping track of trips is a messy business. The heat in Gurgaon during the summer is no joke, and our small AC unit struggles to keep up. People come in and out all day with delivery receipts and fuel bills. It’s not a quiet place. You can hear the heavy engines idling outside pretty much all the time. We handle various types of transport needs from here. It is a straightforward operation. No one wears a suit; we just wear what is comfortable for a dusty industrial zone. Sector-18 is a good spot for logistics because it’s easy for the big vehicles to get in and out of the main roads. We just keep the trucks moving and make sure the logs are somewhat in order. It is a lot of coordination and sometimes things go wrong, but we fix them.
