Apparel Training Design Centre

Our center is located on Sohana Road in Sector 14, at number 1819. It’s a place where things are actually made. We focus on apparel and design training, which means the rooms are usually full of the sound of sewing machines and people cutting fabric. It’s a creative environment, but it is also very hardworking. We have rolls of cloth leaning against the walls and patterns pinned up everywhere. We are not a high-end fashion house with a runway; we are a training center where people come to learn a real skill. The tables are scratched from years of use, and there is always thread on the floor. We like the hum of activity here. Most of the people who come through our doors are just looking to improve their craft and find a way into the garment industry. We show them how to handle the machines and how to put a garment together from scratch. It’s a lot of repetition and practice. Sohana Road is usually busy, so there is a constant background noise of traffic, but we get used to it. We don't make big promises. We just provide the space and the tools for people to work. It’s a straightforward setup that serves a purpose in this neighborhood. We stay busy and keep the machines running as much as we can throughout the week.
