Ankur Organics

You will find us down Gali Number 4 in the Kadipur Industrial Area, right near the SP Gas Godown. Our place is located at Plot Number 102. It is a busy, often dusty part of town with a lot of heavy trucks moving around the narrow streets all the time. We are not a retail shop where you come to browse through items on a shelf; it is more of a gritty workspace where we handle our organic products in bulk. We do a lot of the manual sorting, cleaning, and packing right here on the concrete floor. It is a big open space with high ceilings and plenty of room for the heavy sacks of grain and seeds we get in from the farms. The noise from the neighboring factories and welding shops can be a bit much sometimes, but we are used to it by now. We started here because the rent was reasonable and we needed the floor space for the processing machines. There are about five of us who work here full-time every day. We spend the day checking the quality of the incoming stock and getting the wholesale orders ready for the distributors. It is hard work and the warehouse gets quite hot in the summer months when the sun hits the metal roof. We do not have a fancy office, just a small metal desk in the corner with an old computer and a telephone. It is an honest place where we just focus on the logistics of getting organic food from the rural farms to the local market.
