You can find us on the ground floor of Rb-1 in Shipra Sun City, Ghaziabad. It’s a handy spot because people living in the apartments can just walk down when a fuse blows or their fan starts making a weird noise. The shop is small and filled with boxes of wires, switches, and those little plastic bits that always seem to go missing. I usually sit near the front door so I can see who’s coming in. There is always a pile of broken toasters or irons on the counter waiting to be looked at. Ghaziabad gets pretty hot in the summer, so the shop can feel a bit stuffy with all the equipment running, but we keep the ceiling fan going full speed. Sometimes my son helps out on the weekends when it gets really busy with people needing new light fixtures. We don’t have any fancy signs or big displays, just the usual stuff you’d expect in an electrical shop. Most of the neighbors know me by name and they just pop their heads in to say hello even if they don’t need anything fixed. It’s a decent way to spend the day, working with your hands and talking to people from the colony. We keep a ledger on the desk to track everything, though it’s mostly covered in grease marks from my fingers. It is just how things are around here and we are fine with that.
