Altech Switech Gear

Altech Switech Gear is based out in Phase-V of Udyog Vihar, at number 517. If you know the industrial area, you know it can be a maze of blocks and gates. We’ve been in this unit for a good stretch now. The space is mostly filled with gear parts and assembly tables. It gets a bit loud when the machines are running, but that’s just how an industrial estate works. We have a small team here. Most of us have been working together for years, so we know the routine well. Lunch is usually a quick affair at the desks or sometimes we go out to one of the stalls nearby if the weather isn't too hot. The floor is concrete and the lighting is bright so we can see what we are doing with the small switchgear components. Dust is a constant battle in this part of town, so we spend a lot of time wiping things down. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a workshop and a small office area partitioned off in the corner. We get deliveries coming in and trucks leaving at all sorts of hours. It’s a lot of manual work and checking diagrams. We just try to keep up with the demand and make sure nothing sits on the shelf for too long. It’s decent work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
