Vara Associates

Our office is actually in Nagarjuna Enclave, over in J.P. Nagar Phase. We are in unit A-404 at 76/A on the 14th Cross Road. It’s a bit of a mix between a residential area and a business spot, so it’s much quieter than being right on the main road. You have to sign in at the gate sometimes, depending on which security guard is on duty that day. We chose this spot because it’s easier to focus without all the traffic noise. The office itself is basically a converted apartment, so it has a kitchen and a small balcony where we go to take phone calls or just get some air. We have a few desks set up in the main room, and the walls are mostly covered with calendars and notes we’ve scribbled to ourselves. It’s a pretty relaxed atmosphere here; we don't wear suits unless there’s a really specific reason for it. Most of our work involves a lot of sitting at the computers and going through data or drawings. Sometimes the internet acts up, and we all end up taking a break at the same time. It feels more like a home than a corporate office, which is how we like it. We’ve been in this enclave for a while, and the neighbors are used to seeing people coming and going from our floor. It is just a small group of us working together.
