Tdk Megha Rice Mills

Tdk Megha Rice Mills is located in Batala, Punjab. We are specifically on Gali Masjid Wali, which is right off National Highway 15. You can't miss us because we are so close to the mosque. The mill is a very active place, especially during the harvest seasons. There is always the sound of grain being processed and trucks loading up to head out on the highway. The air is often filled with a fine dust from the rice, which is just part of the job here. We have a small office at the front where we keep our ledgers and some old wooden chairs. It is a place where we sit and talk to the farmers and the drivers. We don't have a big corporate setup. It is mostly family and local workers who have been with us for a long time. The calls to prayer from the masjid nearby give a nice rhythm to our day. Batala is a town where people know each other, and we have been part of this community for many years. When it is hot, we sit under the shade of the roof and drink cold water. The highway noise is constant, with tractors and buses zooming past NH15. We don't bother with fancy advertising.
