Our office is situated at 168 Urban Estate Batala Punjab India 143505. It’s a decent area, a bit quieter than the main market, which helps when we have to focus on all the administrative stuff. Working for the Punjab Health Systems Corporation isn't exactly like a regular business. We deal with a lot of coordination for health services across the region. Most of the time, our desks are piled high with files and reports. It’s a lot of talking on the phone and trying to get things lined up so the hospitals and clinics have what they need. We aren't the ones in the white coats, but we’re the ones making sure the light bulbs are replaced and the paperwork is filed. It’s a lot of back-and-forth with different departments. Sometimes the internet is slow or the printer jams right when we need to send something important out, but we manage to get it done. The staff here is a mix of people who have been in government service for a long time and some newer faces. We take our tea breaks together in the small courtyard when the weather is nice. It’s not a glamorous job, and we don't pretend it is. We just try to keep the system moving as best as we can from this small corner of Batala. There’s always more to do than there are hours in the day, but we keep at it.
