Khosla Riceland Private Limited

We operate out of Koti Number 6 in Friends Colony. This is up in Batala, which is part of the Gurdaspur district in Punjab. Being in this part of the country, rice is a big part of everything, and that’s what we do here at Khosla Riceland. The building is more of a home-base for our operations. We spend our time managing the flow of grain and making sure the quality is where it needs to be. It’s a family-run kind of feel, even if we are a private limited company on paper. Friends Colony is a decent area, and we’ve been here long enough that the neighbors know who we are. The work involves a lot of phone calls and checking on shipments. Rice is a seasonal business in many ways, so some months are absolutely frantic while others give us a bit of a breather. We don't have a front desk with a receptionist or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us at our desks or out back checking the stock. Punjab is the heart of rice country, so we feel like we are in the right spot here in 143505. It’s not a glamorous job, and the dust from the grain can get everywhere, but it’s what we know. We just focus on getting the rice sorted and sent out to the buyers without making a big fuss about it. We just handle the grain and keep the books.
