Janta Clinical Lab

Our lab is located right on G.T. Road, very close to the Civil Hospital. It’s a convenient spot because people can just walk over after seeing their doctor. Janta Clinical Lab is a small place, mostly taken up by the testing equipment and the sample collection area. There isn't much room for a big lounge, so people usually just stand or sit on the few stools we have while they wait for their names to be called. We start early in the morning, often before the sun is fully up, because that’s when most people need to get their blood drawn for fasting tests. The technicians here are quick with their hands; they’ve done this thousands of times. You can hear the hum of the machines running in the back room all day long. We keep our notebooks on the counter to track who is coming and going. It gets quite busy during the monsoon season when everyone seems to be getting fevers. We don't have a lot of decorations on the walls, just the necessary charts and some calendars from the local shops. It’s a practical workspace meant for getting results out to people so they can figure out what’s wrong. We try to be as accurate as possible because we know how much those reports matter. It’s simple, honest work, and we’ve been doing it right here on the main road for years now.
