Hargun Foundation

Hargun Foundation is based in a small place called Mann Sandwal, near Batala in the Gurdaspur district. Our address is simply H. No. 01. Being in a village area means we know everyone and everyone knows us. We aren't some city-based organization that only comes out here for photos. We live here. We see the struggles with farming, the issues with the local roads, and the needs of the children in our schools every day. It’s a very grounded way of working. We don't have a fancy office or a corporate structure. We just work out of a house in the village. If someone has a problem, they just walk over to house number one and knock on the door. That is how things get done in Mann Sandwal. We focus on the things that matter to people in rural Punjab. It might not be glamorous work, and we certainly don't have a marketing department to tell our story. We just do what needs to be done, whether it’s helping with a local event or supporting a family in a tough spot. It’s just us, the local folks, trying to make life a little bit better for our own community. We’ve been here for years, and we’re just part of the furniture now.
